A call by a “Lincoln-based” criminal justice consultant and ex-prison governor that if he was in Government he would close HMP Lincoln because it was not fit for purpose has been condemned by Karl McCartney MP, Lincoln’s Member of Parliament. The consultant has previously campaigned for building large 3,000 inmate prisons to replace local prisons.
