Karl spoke out on national Carers Rights Day to support Carers UK’s campaign urging people caring for ill or disabled loved ones to find out about the financial and practical support they are entitled to.
Karl is backing a national campaign launched on 17 November by road safety charity Brake, calling on road users tolook out for each other to help stop the five deaths and 61 serious injuries that happen every day on UK roads, and particularly to protect people on foot and on bikes.
Karl has added his support to a “market rent only” cross party amendment to the Small Business Bill that would deliver a fair deal for local pub company pubs, including here in the City of Lincoln and across his Constituency.
Karl met with Rt Hon George Osborne MP, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, to impress on him the need for the Conservative-led Government to continue investing in the transport infrastructure of his City of Lincoln Constituency and the County of Lincolnshire, in particular the £96m Lincoln Eastern Bypass.
KARL hosted an event in Churchill’s Restaurant & Coffee Bar in Lincoln High Street to thank the five charities who participated in the recent ‘Beating the Bounds’’ Charity Walk around the boundary of his City of Lincoln Constituency in one day. The event gave Karl an opportunity to present each of the charities with the balance of over £10,000 that this very successful Sponsored Walk raised.
