Following the Conservative Prime Minister’s announcement on Government’s common-sense plans to:
- scrap the proposal for the Government to interfere in how many passengers you can have in your car and the idea that we should force you to have 7 different bins in your home.
- scrap the proposal to make you change your diet – and harm British farmers - by taxing meat.
- scrap the proposal to create new taxes to discourage flying
- allow people to buy new petrol and diesel cars and vans until 2035, in line with countries like Germany and France
- never forcing anyone to rip out their old boiler for an expensive heat pump
Karl, who has led the campaign in Parliament to scrap the plans to stop allowing people to buy new petrol and diesel cars from 2030 has praised the Government’s position. He said: “The Prime Minister’s statement was first class. A clear common sense, affordable and practical way forward that is on the side of both the environment and normal British people and businesses.
“On the issue of now not ending petrol and diesel cars by 2035, this is clearly sensible. It is also aligned with many European Countries so those complaining clearly do not agree with France and Germany either.
“Those like the Labour Party including all of Lincoln’s Labour Party campaigners who are against these proposals are effectively in league with vested interests and Central London eco-zealots. All are out of touch, do not live in the real world and many too rich to care about the impact on normal families and businesses.”
