Back My Campaign By Clicking Here: Reducing Lincoln Congestion
I have long campaigned for better transport infrastructure in Lincoln to help everyone get in, out and around the City. This is a key part of my campaign to Put Lincoln First!
This is vital for residents, workers, shoppers, businesses, students and tourists. Recent successes to name just a few, include the Eastern bypass, the link road from the High Street to Pelham Bridge and additional capacity at the Riseholme Roundabout.
Later this decade we will have a Southern bypass too, effectively creating a ring road around the City. Public transport improvements also include the Lincoln Transport Hub and more direct trains from Lincoln to London and across to Yorkshire and Nottingham.
With the coming development of 3,200 more homes at Swanpool (called Western Growth Corridor) in the west of the City, we clearly need a new road and bridge to alleviate traffic congestion and directly join it to Tritton Road. Without it, the western side of the City will become even more congested.
A new road and bridge would also relieve the current traffic congestion on Skellingthorpe, Doddington and Tritton Roads which is urgently needed.
So please register your support, and join the campaign to reduce Skellingthorpe/Doddington/Tritton Road traffic congestion.
