Karl met local resident, Gary, about the problem of the continuing problems in Bathurst Street, (just off of Monks Road) with a continual water leak in the street.
Gary informed Karl that this leak has been an ongoing issue in one form or another since the 1980s. Several years ago, Anglian Water put in place a sign claiming that this leak was a natural spring, rather than a water leak.
Thankfully, the solution to this leak came forward as a result of the CityFibre engineers damaging a pipe, which resulted in the water being switched off, this then halted the leak. These events ensured that Anglian Water resolved the long-running water leak.
Despite claims from the Labour Party, the persistence of local residents, such as Gary, is why this leak has been resolved.
