Lincoln’s Member of Parliament, Karl McCartney MP, has expressed his “delight” after being re-adopted tonight as the Conservative Party’s Parliamentary Candidate for the City of Lincoln Constituency for the General Election on 8 June.
Karl McCartney JP MP, Lincoln’s Member of Parliament, said: “I am delighted to have been re-adopted by friends and supporters at the Lincoln Conservative Association for this, my fourth General Election Campaign in Lincoln.
“I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank my Association Chairman, Cllr Eddie Strengiel, and indeed all Officers and Members for their considerable support over the years and for their continued faith and trust in me as Lincoln's Conservative Candidate.
“The General Election gives the people of our City the opportunity to choose a Conservative Government that will deliver a successful Brexit, continue with improving the quality of life for everyone in Lincoln and continue with its investment plans for our City and County - just has it has done since I was first elected in 2010.
“The choice is clear – between a Conservative Government and Member of Parliament that wants people, businesses and organisations in the City of Lincoln to succeed, and Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party who have repeatedly said they will do all they can to frustrate Brexit and whose tax-spend-and-borrow policies will put jobs and livelihoods at risk, both locally and across our Country.”
