Karl McCartney MP has today welcomed new statistics that show the number of people in work in the East Midlands has increased by over 7,000 on the previous quarter. This means there are 29,000 more people in work in the East Midlands than before the 2010 General Election.
Welcoming the figures, Karl McCartney MP said: “It’s great news that the number of people in work in the East Midlands has increased since the last General Election. British business is rising to the challenge of creating jobs and we’re determined to ensure that all hardworking people benefit from the recovery. There is always more to do, but these figures are encouraging.”
