“Tomorrow’s public sector strikes won’t just be an inconvenience to thousands of people in Lincoln, they will hurt our economy and damage our children’s education.
“This Strike Action is wholly unwarranted and I would urge Lincoln’s Labour politicians, instead of taking part in the strikes, to instead condemn them and join me in standing up for the residents of Lincoln who will now suffer. After all, it was Gordon Brown’s economic irresponsibility which led to the Government having to take the difficult decisions required on public sector pay.
“Ed Miliband has reneged on his promise to ‘stand up for what’s right’ on public sector pay restraint. His failure to take on his union bosses is proof that Labour haven’t changed at all. Labour are still the party of strikes and uncontrolled public sector pay – the same Old Labour Party. Ed Miliband is a weak leader, not up to the job and unfit to govern our Country.”
