The annual Christmas card competition is one of my absolute highlights of the festive season, but this year more than ever, it has been a ray of sunshine in these dark times. This year I again invited all Year 3 to Year 6 pupils at schools in my Lincoln constituency to enter designs for my official Christmas card, which I send to thousands of colleagues and supporters in Parliament and our community in Lincoln.
Also, once again this year, I was overwhelmed by the wonderfully vibrant and designs sent in by so many talented children from across Lincoln. It was truly a huge challenge to judge the winning and runner-up designs – with the winning design printed on the front of the Christmas card, and the runner-up designs printed together on the back of the card.
I am delighted to announce that this year’s winning cover design is by Emmie Sorby, who is in Year 6, at Minster School. The runners up are: Ollie, Year 6, Minster School; Eliza Chambers, Year 3, Minster school; Eva Houltby, Year 5, Hartsholme Academy; Riley Hart, Year 6, Hartsholme Academy; Lily Overton, Year 5, Manor Leas Junior Academy and Holly Hubbard-Hall, Year 5, Manor Leas Junior Academy.
