Our wonderful Cornhill Market is officially now open.
I was honoured to visit this historic building with the new Mayor and a range of Lincoln's civic leaders.
It has always played a central role in the life and times of our wonderful City, and I was delighted to see it fully restored, preserving its rich historical significance.
The renovation was funded by £5.9 million from the Conservative Government and funding from the City of Lincoln Council and Historic England.
I was pleased to see my lobbying of the Government worked, as it always does, on behalf of everyone in the Lincoln community, who played a crucial role in this restoration.
Please do come and visit the market, which was first opened in 1937.
It is a fantastic space with various small businesses already signed up and open for business.
