This August, Lincoln’s MP, Karl, has written to barbers, GP surgeries, sports clubs, health bodies and student unions to encourage them to signpost men to the City’s Andy’s Man Club where men come together for a non-judgemental confidential chat every Monday night.
Every Monday night (7pm), men from across the City meet at the Co-op Stand at the LNER stadium, home of Lincoln City Football Club to support each other, chat about life and the issues they face All over a plentiful supply of by “brews and biscuits”.
Lincoln’s Andy’s Man Club, is one of over 100 such clubs across the UK and is one of the UK’s big success stories when it comes to improving men’s mental health.
Earlier this year, Karl met Luke and Paul to talk about the work of the club in Lincoln, how it works and what the secrets of its success are. This can be viewed here: https://fb.watch/dO_hRQG2YC/
Karl is a big supporter of mental health projects for men, especially when this includes self-help groups such as Andy’s Man Clubs who are organised by men themselves, are welcoming and are free to attend.

Lincoln MP, Karl, said “I am truly inspired by the work of our very own Andy’s Man Club in Lincoln and want to encourage more men to turn up on Mondays.
“I have written to a range of key organisations who are also always in contact with men like barbers, GPs, sports clubs and student unions in the hope they will spread the word further.
“It is a fantastic initiative and I would urge any man who is struggling and wants to chat about matters on their own terms, then please do come along on a Monday night – you will be made to feel at ease with men just like you.”
