Figures also released today show that the number of Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) claimants in Lincoln is 539 lower than in November 2012 and 106 lower than in October 2013.
Karl McCartney MP said: “It is great news that there are 83,000 more people in work in the East Midlands since 2010. That’s 83,000 more people receiving a regular pay packet for work done, giving them the chance to give themselves and their family a more secure future.
“Further, the number of Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA) claimants today is 539 lower than in November 2012 and 106 lower than in October 2013.
“Of course there is still more to do, but these figures show that the Conservative’s long-term plan to fix the economy is working in Lincoln and Lincolnshire, ensuring that people are encouraged off benefits and into work, and delivering a more secure future for people who want to work hard and get on in their life.”
