Karl has welcomed news that crime has fallen by 8 per cent year-on-year, according to the independent Crime Survey for England and Wales, and by more than a quarter (30 per cent) since 2010.
Commenting, Karl said: “Today’s figures show that police reform is working and crime is falling.
“In Lincolnshire crime recorded by the Police has fallen by 21%. This is good news for families across Lincolnshire – meaning their communities are safer and more secure than ever before.
“It is also a mark of the excellent work our County’s Police Officers, led by Chief Constable Neil Rhodes, do on our behalf every day and night of the week.
“We should be immensely proud of them.
“With the changing nature of crime, however, it’s important that we continue to make Britain a safer place to live, work and do business – that is why we must continue to tackle the scourge of crime.”
