Karl attended the Conservative Party conference in Manchester this week and gave his full support for the Prime Minister, Rt. Hon. Boris Johnson MP, after his stirring speech (see link below) on Wednesday (6 October 2021).
After the conference, Karl said: “This week’s Conservative Party conference, which I attended along with various members and Councillors from Lincolnshire, was hugely positive and a great forum to discuss our priorities and policies.
“I fully support the priorities of this ambitious Conservative government as it delivers for the British people. This includes levelling up locally by delivering strategic infrastructure in Lincolnshire, reforming social care and delivering on key projects that benefit the City such as the Towns Fund.
“The Prime Minister made really important announcements such as confirming the need to control immigration which will help to increase wages, continuing investment in increasing police officer numbers and also funding for key infrastructure projects which we need.”
In comparing the Prime Minister to the anonymous Labour Party leader, Karl added further: “Unlike captain hindsight and the Labour Party, this Conservative Government is getting on with the day job - delivering for the British people including everyone living and working in Lincoln, Skellingthorpe, Bracebridge Heath and Waddington East.”
