This week I was very pleased to host the Greater Lincolnshire LEP online Jobs Fair – which brought together over 70 employers in a “virtual exhibition hall”. Visitors were able to interact with organisations through instant messages and video calls, find out about jobs, access information on apprenticeships and education courses.
The event was a phenomenal success, racking up more than 1,000 page views within an hour of opening, with the most popular pages being the DWP #kickstartscheme and, I am very proud to say, the welcome talk from myself!
The jobs fair was a great opportunity to connect job seekers with employers, and despite the economic difficulties we are currently facing I know that local Lincolnshire organisations are still recruiting.
Huge congratulations to Greater Lincoln LEP for organising such a successful and much-needed event. I very much look forward to the next one.
Further information on future job fairs and careers events is available on the LEP website.
