This week, the Conservative Government has launched the rollout of the largest ever expansion of childcare in England’s history. It will be potentially benefit over 1,300 Lincoln families right now. I fully support this.
The cost of childcare can be a real struggle for Lincoln's parents and can become a barrier to work, with too many being held back from returning to work.
That is why the Government are delivering the largest ever expansion of free childcare, expanding 30 free hours of childcare for working parents from nine months old up to when they start school.
With the rollout beginning on Monday, eligible working parents of two-year-olds in Lincoln can now access 15 hours of free childcare per week.
Only the Conservatives have a plan to deliver a brighter future for Lincoln's parents and their families – whether that be in the workplace contributing to our economy or staying at home to raise the next generation.
