On Thursday, 3 March 2016, Lincoln’s Member of Parliament, Karl McCartney MP, accompanied the Minister of State for Defence Procurement, Philip Dunne MP, on a visit to defence supplier, Inzpire Limited’s premises in Kingsley Road, Lincoln.
The meeting came about after Karl wrote to Mr Dunne last Christmas asking him to visit Inzpire as they wished to update the Minister on their plans as a next-generation business and partner of the UK’s Armed Forces, and also so the Company could highlight some of the commercial issues they currently face.
During his visit the Minister also took a tour of Inzpire’s Head Office and took time to talk to Chief Executive, Mr Hugh Griffiths, as well as talking with staff from Support Services, Commercial, Finance, Sales Teams and Missions Systems.
Karl McCartney MP, said: “I am extremely grateful to the Minister for taking the time to come to Lincoln to visit Inzpire and I know he greatly enjoyed the experience.
“Inzpire has an extensive and valued history of supporting various defence programmes, including the UK Distributed Synthetic Air Land Training Project 2.
“The Company is also incredibly successful having doubled in size in the last 18 months. In fact, they now employ 90 people, the vast majority of whom are ex-forces.
“Inzpire’s Chief Executive, Hugh Griffiths, and his hardworking Team are great ambassadors for our City and I look forward to continuing to work closely with them in the future.”
