The Home Secretary, the Rt Hon Theresa May, has helped Conservative Karl McCartney to launch his re-election bid in Castle Square, Lincoln. This followed a private visit to PK Automotive where she met with owner Paul Killingworth and members of his team to discuss the importance of apprenticeships to the growth and success of their company.
The rally in Castle Square saw the Home Secretary meet with members of the Lincoln Conservative Association to kick-off Karl’s bid for re-election on Thursday 7 May as the Member of Parliament for Lincoln.
Karl McCartney said: “It was very kind of Theresa to come to Castle Square in Lincoln and launch my General Election campaign. Theresa took the time to speak to friends, supporters and colleagues about how important it is that we continue to stick with our long term economic plan that is delivering for the people of Lincoln. I am very grateful to Theresa for her fulsome support.”
Home Secretary, the Rt Hon Theresa May, said: “It was a pleasure to visit the historic city of Lincoln to see both a fantastic local business and launch Karl McCartney’s re-election campaign. The expansion of PK Automotive Solutions, with four new apprentices, shows that the Government’s Long Term Economic Plan is really working for Lincoln. Karl has campaigned tremendously hard as the City’s MP on issues such as better transport links, more job opportunities and keeping crime low. If Karl is re-elected on May 7th I know he will continue to fight hard for the City both at home and in the House of Commons and work for more local success stories like PK Automotive Solutions.”
