Although both youth unemployment and general unemployment in Lincoln is falling and is lower than when I was elected to Westminster as the Conservative Member of Parliament in May 2010, that is no consolation to those who are still seeking work.
I recognise that it can be difficult to find a job if you don’t know what opportunities are out there, or if you haven’t been in work for some time. Perhaps you feel like you need to improve your skills.
That’s why I am organising a Jobs & Careers Fair at The Assembly Rooms in Lincoln on Friday 16th February 2018. This will offer people looking for jobs or a career in our City an opportunity to meet and speak to local, regional, national and international employers.
The 2018 Jobs & Career Fair is open for individuals or all ages. Whether you are a school or college leaver, an undergraduate, a potential apprentice or somebody already in work who is looking to improve your skills and employment prospects, or to change job and enhance your working career – this Jobs & Careers Fair is a must attend event in your diary.
Real jobs that anyone may apply for will be advertised on the day, alongside seminars/ work groups providing employment advice.
The Lincoln Jobs & Career Fair will help all job & career seekers in our City and surrounding areas find jobs & careers that are right for them. I sincerely hope that this Jobs Fair will be useful to Constituents and that many will join me at The Assembly Rooms on Friday 16th February 2018.
